YouTube Is Adding A Feature That Allows Users To Comment On An Exact Minute Of A Video

YouTube is on its A-game lately, the company is working on a new feature that will allow users or viewers to comment on a specific minute of a YouTube video. This feature is currently being tested and has been approved, so I can’t wait for them to announce when it will be implemented!

“Testing new timed comments: We’re currently testing a new feature that allows you to view comments timed to the exact moment you’re watching in a video. This experiment is available on some videos to a small group of people and we’ll consider rolling this out more broadly based on feedback. To see if you’re part of the experiment, go to the comments section on iOS or Android, and tap the Sort button to select ‘Timed Beta’.” YouTube explained on its page.

As of now, YouTube has not specify how these comments will be moderated and also how the flow of comments will affect a larger YouTuber’s community. While it may be useful for longer videos, for creators to read on their best moments and what they could work on, it may come off as troublesome to read, especially those with bigger audiences.

What do you think about this new feature YouTube is testing right now? Would you like to test it out or is it a no for you?
