Ever heard of a hybrid zoo? Well, you're in luck as the world's first-ever hybrid zoo is now open in Kuantan, Pahang! Visitors will be able to check out real-life animals and those that are already extinct, prehistoric animals in animatronic-form.
The Teruntum Mini Zoo in Kuantan includes a collaboration with the Dinosaur Encounter, combining the concept of real, living animals and prehistoric animatronic animals like dinosaurs! “Of the entire area (of the zoo), about 30% will be retained for live animal exhibitions and the rest will be developed through edu-tourism projects which will also house themed cafes, dinosaur laboratories and so on,” shared Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan (MBK) Secretary Datuk Hamiza Hamzah.
That's not all, Lord of the Rings fans won't need to travel all the way to New Zealand to witness the Hobbit House as there will be one within the hybrid zoo! If you are interested to visit the zoo with your family and friends, Teruntum Mini Zoo is open daily from 9am to 6pm, with an admission fee of RM25 for adults and RM22 for children.
Let us know if you spotted the largest dinosaur in Asia in the zoo!
