Woman In The US Was Shot In The Head By Her Child During A Zoom Call
Yes, you read the title right. A woman in the US was tragically killed by a gun shot to the head while she was in a Zoom call with a group of colleagues. 21-year-old Shamaya Lynn’s son stumbled upon a loaded gun and accidentally killed his mother.
One of her co-workers decided to call 911 when Shamaya suddenly fell back away from her computer and never returned to the call. “I don’t know where to begin. We’re on a live with a company. We just got hired. One of the girls passed out, she was bleeding. She has the camera on. Her baby is crying in the back,” the co-worker frantically said in her 911 call, the Orlando Sentinel reported via the transcript.
“We heard a loud kabloom and then she leaned back and we just saw blood from her face,” she added. Local police said in a news release that the injury was indeed caused by a toddler who was found with a loaded handgun which was left unsecured. Apparently, the gun belonged to the toddler’s father.
Thankfully, none of the children were harmed in the incident and are no left in the care of their relatives. Meanwhile, investigators are working with local authorities to determine possible charges against the victim’s boyfriend.
