PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob mentioned that Malaysians may soon be able to interstate travel and travel overseas. He added that the permission will be given as soon as 90% adult population in the country have been fully vaccinated.
“Yes, December. It may be even earlier. We will open up the state borders to enable them to be crossed. Travel to other countries will also be opened up after we reach the 90% vaccination rate," Ismail Sabri said.
Due to the current success of the vaccination rate, the PM is confident that travelling abroad would be allowed by end of this year if the vaccination rate is achieved within 2 weeks. He also said that people who are leaving the country will no longer need to register for the MyTravelPass, but the conditions to quarantine at home when they return from overseas will remain the same.
Let's hope we manage to achieve the target, so we can slowly ease into travelling again! Where would you like to travel to when borders reopen again?
