We Have Our Very Own ‘Cherry Blossom’ Trees In Malaysia, Where Can You Find Them?

Have you seen people sharing around ‘cherry blossom’ tree pictures across social media, and wonder to yourself, “How did they travel over to Japan now?” or “Is that a throwback photo of Japan?”. To answer you, Malaysia has their very own Tecoma trees that resemble Japan’s cherry blossoms! According to DBKL, KL has over 10,000 of these Tecoma trees planted, which immediately makes you feel like you’re transported over to another country.

About 1,173 Tecoma trees can be found along roadsides while you can find more planted at public parks. The trees come with white and pink flowers, which only blooms for 2 weeks in March yearly! A couple of areas that people shared online are Jalan Kelang Lama, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Sri Permaisuri, Jalan Metroprima, NPE Highway, Puchong, Putrajaya, Selayang, Johor Bahru, and Miri!

Just take a look at all these beautiful pictures people uploaded:
