US Company Will Pay RM5,400 For You To Watch 13 Horror Movies Within 10 Days
It's almost that time of the year where people would dress up as ghouls and ghosts to go trick-or-treat. You're probably already listing out all the Halloween movies to catch at home or theatres, but listen up, a finance company based in the U.S. is looking for someone to watch 13 horror movies within 10 days.
But of course, the company will be paying for you to watch the movies. That chosen individual will be paid USD1,300 (RM5,400) - Easy! According to LadBible, the company called FinanceBuzz is looking to hire a 'Horror Movie Heart Rate Analyst', and that person will just need to wear a Fitbit while watching the horror movies!
Th aim is to determine whether the person's heart rate increases more when they watch 'high-budget' or 'low-budget' horror films. So basically, which is scarier.
"In honour of the upcoming spooky season, we at FinanceBuzz are dying to know whether or not high-budget horror movies deliver stronger scares than low-budget ones. You'll help us discover whether or not a movie's budget impacts just how dread-inducing it can be by wearing a Fitbit to monitor your heart rate while you work your way through the list of 13 movies," FinanceBuzz wrote on their website.
The 13 horror movies that the selected person needs to watch includes Amityville Horror, Annabelle, A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place 2, Candyman, Get Out, Halloween (2018), Insidious, Paranormal Activity, Sinister, Saw, The Blair Witch Project, and The Purge. The 10 days will begin 9 October till 18 October.
Another benefit of participating, the person will not need to spend money to purchase a Fitbit, nor will they need to cover rental costs of the movies. The company will be providing the device along with USD50 (RM208). Sadly, only those who reside in the U.S. can apply for this role by 26 September 2021.
Would you watch those horror movies?
