Twitter Launches Crowdsourced Fact-Checking Portal ‘Birdwatch’

With the power of social media, you will be provided with resources that could benefit you in the 21st century. A room full of knowledge, but the potential for misguided information that could cause many individuals to not fact-check their resources.

Conversation based social media platform, Twitter recently announced a new crowdsourced fact-checking initiative called “Birdwatch”. The company wishes that its community of users would get concise information, fact-check content, and offer a diverse range of perspectives from participants instead of sharing false information around. 

Currently being tested, Birdwatch is open only to 1,000 users in the USA, but eventually, it will be made available to more users.
