This Historic Tin Mine In Perak Also Houses Malaysia’s Largest Maze Park

Those who love a challenge are sure to enjoy a little adventure in this a-maze-ing maze park in Kinta District, Perak. Located in Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No. 5, this maze park is said to be the largest of its kind in the country!

A little background about the place, the Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No. 5 aka TT5 is a former tin mining dredge that was built in 1938 for the Southern Malayan Tin Dredging Ltd, a company that was formed in 1926 and operated six dredges in the Batu Gajah and Tanjung Tualang area.

The TT5 was in service for 44 years until 1982 when it was eventually shut down due to declined tin prices worldwide. Today, the TT5 is the only remaining tin dredge in the area as the others were either dismantled or sold off in the past.

Visitors will get to marvel at the historic structures of the tin dredge machine while exploring other attractions in the park which includes a baby goat sanctuary and of course, the largest maze park in Malaysia.
