Say Goodbye To Internet Explorer As Microsoft Officially Ends Support On 15 June 2022

I know most of us don’t even use Internet Explorer anymore, but I’m also sure those born in the early ages of internet have some fond memories of the desktop application. Unfortunately, Microsoft announced that it will official end support for Internet Explorer on 15 June 2022, so say your goodbyes. Honestly, did you even know Internet Explorer is still working as of now?

Meanwhile, Microsoft 365, formerly known as Office 365 is already plans to end support for Internet Explorer on 17 August this year. However, back in 2019, Microsoft said it planned to add an Internet Explorer Mode within Microsoft Edge, and the virtualised browser lives on as a configurable mode within the desktop app. So if you feel like you’re missing Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge is technically a more modern and secure version of IE.

“Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer, but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications,” Microsoft explained in a blog post.
