PlayStation Game ‘Ghost of Tsushima’ To Be Made Into A Movie
One of the most hyped up PlayStation game, Ghost of Tsushima was announced to be made into a movie! Most fans are pretty excited to hear the news from Sony, but some are pretty concern about casting and directions of the film. Not to worry, Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions will be working with John Wick director, Chad Stahelski to produce one of our favourite games into a live-action film!
Nate Fox, the Game Director at Sucker Punch Productions said, “I know I speak for everyone at Sucker Punch by sending out a massive thank you to Ghost fans. Your support for the game is what makes opportunities like a movie come true. It’s been a sincere pleasure checking out your photo-mode images posted online and fighting alongside you in Legends. We’re so happy to be on this ride with you.”
If you’re not familiar with the game, Ghost of Tsushima takes place in the late 13th century when the Mongol empire has laid waste to entire nations along their campaign to conquer the East. The word Tsushima in the game title is actually the name of an island that is the last thing standing between the mainland Japan and Mongol invasion led by general Khotun Khan. Samurai warrior Jin Sakai is one of the last surviving members of his clan, determined to protect his people and reclaim his home.
If that’s not enticing enough, I don’t know what is. All I’m hoping for this film is to follow the original storyline closely and cast the characters well (according to the original race of the game characters). There are no news on when they will be starting the shoot, but we’re hoping it starts this year.
