Nickelodeon’s Legends Of The Hidden Temple Revived As Adults Competition Show
If you’re born in the 90’s then you’ve definitely came across Legends of the Hidden Temple on Nickelodeon, but guess what, the children TV series will be revived into an all-adults competition show on The CW Network! This news is sure to bring excitement and nostalgia to an entire generation of young adults who grew up watching the series, I am also included!
The big question is, will they be able to reenact the same beloved TV show we all loved? The series was originally aired on Nickelodeon from 1993 to 1995. If you’re an avid Legends of the Hidden Temple watcher then you’ll remember the talking Mayan statue, Olmec, and the original teams, Purple Parrots, Orange Iguanas, Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys, Silver Snakes, and Red Jaguars.
According to Variety, the reboot will be sticking to many of the original show’s elements, but instead of being shot in a studio, the contestants will be challenging each other in a “mysterious jungle”. Original elements like Olmec the talking Mayan statue and team names will remain in the adult-version of the remake.
The CW series will be produced by Stone & Company Entertainment and Nickelodeon. Stone and Marcus J. Fox, both currently producers on another reality game show, Paradise Run, are also credited as Executive Producers for the new adults-only Legends of the Hidden Temple.
I hope the reboot doesn’t disappoint a whole generation of adults that enjoyed the original show growing up. Which team were you supporting the most as a kid?
