Netflix Released A Set Of Mobile Games Playable For Free By Subscribers

'Netflix and Chill' is now elevated to something other than watching movies and TV shows, as the streaming company releases a set of mobile games that will be free-to-play by subscribers. Two of the mobile games are based on the popular Netflix series 'Stranger Things', while the other 3 are basic card or skill-based games.

“We're excited to take our first step in launching Netflix games on mobile to the world. We want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone,” Netflix said in a release.

The games were apparently already made available in Italy, Poland, and Spain a while back, but just released globally on 2 November. To make it more accessible to subscribers all over the world, the games were tailored for play on Android smartphones or tablets, and are accessible through Netflix accounts.

Unfortunately, there were no news whether the games will be made available for iPhone or iPad users yet. The company recently acquired its first video game studio to expand its entertainment empire and venture into video games in hopes to push out games based on storylines of popular TV series.

“Just like our series, films and specials, we want to design games for any level of play and every kind of player,” Netflix said.

Have you tried any of Netflix's mobile games?
