MyEG Announced E-Driving License Tests To Avoid People From Bribing & Less Human Interaction

Credit: Free Malaysia Today

An e-testing that was proposed back in 2018 by Anthony Loke has finally been approved by Bursa Malaysia! MyEG announced that the automated driving license system will be proof of concept (POC) that assesses the competencies of candidates.

There isn't much information revealed so far, but a test-run of the POC to run for 2 months, from 1 December 2021 to 1 February 2022. During the trial run, they will determine if the system is suitable enough for commercialisation. If the POC does go through, candidates will not have guaranteed pass packages and bribe their way to success, and there will be less human interaction which will potentially minimise sexual harassments.

Back in January 2020, JPJ actually announced that this system will be implemented in June 2020. However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, all plans were delayed as driving schools were not allowed to operate during the MCO.

Would you prefer the old school way or this new e-testing?
