Msian Government May Soon Allow Fully Vaccinated People To Enter Shopping Malls & Retail Stores
In regards to PM Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement about privileges for those who are fully vaccinated, several trade associations that represent shopping malls, retailers, and theme parks provided suggestions for the plan to tone down the SOPs. Led by the Malaysia Shopping Malls Association (PPKM), they’ve suggested that the Malaysian government should allow retail stores to be operational again when at least 70% of their working crew completed their Covid-19 vaccination.
That’s not all, PPKM also suggested that only fully vaccinated individuals should be allowed into retail stores and shopping malls, while the malls would check customers’ vaccination certificate in the MySejahtera app as an addition to the current SOP which includes a temperature check. The government has yet to respond to the idea from these trade associations, considering that only 23.1% of Malaysia’s population are fully vaccinated as of now.
That said, we should be hearing an answer soon as indicated by PM Muhyiddin. What do you think? Is it a good idea to allow fully vaccinated people to enter shopping malls and retail stores?
