MR DIY Is Giving UM Students RM300 To Buy Essentials For The New Semester
Heads up, Universiti Malaya (UM) students! If you're an undergraduate who's returning to campus in the coming semester, home improvement store MR DIY will be giving you RM300 cash via the Touch 'n Go e-wallet so you can purchase your back-to-school essentials.
After months of online learning, university students finally get to return to campus. But for some students who live alone in their rental accommodations, the transition back to uni comes with additional expenses for rent, furniture, and other essentials. Which is why the MR DIY #DIY4UM campaign aims to ease this transition for students and give them an extra hand.
"We believe it's important that they (university students) are well equipped with protective and learning essentials to keep themselves safe while staying focused on their studies, which is why we are distributing this cash aid to undergraduates at [Universiti] Malaya," said MR DIY CEO Adrian Ong.
The incentive is available to active Malaysian undergraduates at UM with a Touch 'n Go e-wallet account. To redeem the cash aid, students can register online via the university's Academic Portal MAYA by 3 October. Once the application has been approved, students can expect to receive RM100 in their e-wallet accounts on 1 November, 30 November, and 30 December respectively.
