Man Shot A Dog With An Arrow Caught On CCTV Footage
I can’t believe it is 2021 and people are still getting away with animal brutality. Thank god for a CCTV footage, the Malaysian police is actively trying to find the man who shot a dog with an arrow in Seberang Jalan Putra, Alor Setar.
According to Astro Awani, Kota Setar District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Shukri Mat Akhir and his team received a report about the incident that was initially seen on a Facebook status. “It looks like the image of the suspect doing the arrow action appeared in the CCTV camera and the weapons used were a bow and arrow,” he added.
The Veterinary Department’s investigation team and three enforcement assistants got hold of the CCTV footage, whereby the CCTV was actually at a nearby shop from the actual incident. In the footage, the man was seen using a Proton Waja car with an unidentified vehicle registration number. He was also holding an archery tool, shooting stray dogs around 4.21 am and 5.26am.
Here is the CCTV footage (Viewers discretion is advised!):
The investigating officer of the Veterinary Department said that he would open an investigation paper on the case according to Section 29 (1) (E) of the Animal Welfare Act 2015 and the case was then referred to the Veterinary Department for further investigation.
Hopefully the culprit is caught ASAP, it is not only dangerous for these stray animals, but also might be a threat to people around the area.
