Malaysian Engineering Student Gets Hired By Tesla As A Robotics Instructor In California

A former Malaysian student at Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) Kota Putra (Ulul Albab), Fakhirah Khairuddin, landed a job at Tesla as a Technical Training Robotics Engineer instructor in Fremont, California! With Elon Musk all over the news lately, the company was place the No.1 most attractive company to work for by US engineering students, well of course it’s also because of its advance autonomous driving features.

With the company being one of the most sought-after companies to work for, it is not easy to land a job with them, but Fakhirah proved to be worthy enough with her impressive resume to back her credentials. After graduating from MRSM, she gotten a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California in 2019. She then continued studying at the same university and completed her Masters in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Amazing enough, Fakhirah’s project back in 2019 called “CopyPasta” won first prize for the Northrop Grumman System Engineering Challenge! She also worked as a Propulsion Development Engineer at her university and written Matlab codes to study heat conduction of a rocket engine before working for Tesla. Now, as a Technical Training Instructor at Tesla, she teaches FANUC and Kuka robots to engineers and technicians.

This shows that through hard work, anything is possible!
