Malaysia’s Vaccinations Set For Third Quarter Of 2021

According to Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Khairy Kamaluddin, majority of Malaysians will not be getting the Covid-19 vaccine until the 3rd quarter of the year or even later. If you’re a healthy adult below 60 years-old and not a front line worker, it’s assumed that you won’t be receiving it any time soon.

He added that Malaysia’s vaccination plan will span over 18 months, so netizens must get used to wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing, and having good personal hygiene. On the other hand, the Vaccine Selection Technical Working Group will regularly update him on clinical data regarding the vaccines, while the commercial team will be advising him on negotiations on price and availability of the Covid-19 vaccines.
