Malaysia Is Getting Its Very Own BTS Pop-Up Store In One U

Malaysian ARMY, stand firm as it is confirmed that Malaysia will be getting its first ever, BTS pop-up store: Map Of The Soul. Though, I am certain this might not be news to the ARMY as they are usually very quick on the uptake with anything related to BTS.

The pop-up will be opening its doors in One Utama, but at an unconfirmed date. That said, some ARMY members has speculated that it will open sometime between May to July based on information gathered through their vast and intricate network.

It is understood that the pop-up store was made available to fans after the Map Of The Soul Tour was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Either way, I suppose there is little for fans to complain about.

Several fans, including Twitter user @printyoongi, have taken to their social media accounts to share images of the store’s hoarding, printed with BTS’s ubiquitous logo, as it is currently under renovation. The store will also be on the Ground Floor in the new wing of 1 Utama, in the vicinity of a Zara outlet there.

As it stands, there is very little to go on about the pop-up store as no new information has been made public. But if the pop-up store in Singapore is of any indication of what’s to come, we can definitely expect plenty of merch inspired by the band’s Map Of The Soul albums, with everything from AirPod cases to cardigans, gel pens, face towels, and posters.

Not only that, depending on the size of the outlet in Malaysia, the Malaysian ARMY might also get to visit experiential zones where they are able to take photos with sets from BTS’ music videos.
