Malaysia Going Mobile With Vaccination, Rolling Out 40 Vaccine Trucks In The Coming Months

According to Malay Mail, Malaysia has already started going mobile with its mass immunisation drive on Tuesday (8/6), by rolling out the first of 40 vaccine trucks to hit the highways in the upcoming months. The plan is to deploy vaccination trucks to areas where people may have difficulty getting to vaccination centres.

“It opens up more chances to the public… to get the access,” said Puganesan Thiruselven, who was among hundreds of people who queued up for the jabs at the truck in KL. “By doing this, the risk is much reduced.”

It’s great that the government is trying to get as many people vaccinated as possible, to combat the worst outbreak of the coronavirus. Malaysia is recorded the highest infection rate than anywhere else in South-east Asia with 627,652 recorded cases and 3,536 deaths so far.

Thankfully, almost 2.5 million people in the country has gotten at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine in Malaysia as of Monday (7/6). However, this is only less than 10% of our 32 million population.
