Korean Actress Seo Ye-ji Accused Of Bullying And Being Over Controlling
Popular Korean actress Seo Ye-ji, who’s most well-known for her role in It’s Okay To Not Be Okay, is on the verge of losing more endorsement deals following the backlash surrounding her alleged ill-mannered behaviour towards staff members and ex-boyfriend, fellow actor Kim Jung-hyun.
The 31-year-old actress was first accused of being over controlling towards her ex-boyfriend, who was also the star of popular K-drama Crash Landing On You, when alleged text messages between the former couple were leaked early this week.

The texts showed Seo demanding Kim to avoid physical contact with his female costar during the filming of 2018 drama Time. This was cited as a possible reason behind Kim’s unprofessional behaviour on set, such as constantly making changes to the script, which hindered the drama’s filming progress and eventually led to the actor dropping out of the cast.
Although Seo’s agency quickly denied the allegations while Kim also posted a handwritten note on social media that seemingly claims responsibility over his behaviour on set, the actress soon had another problem on her plate.
An anonymous post by an alleged staff member who previously worked with the actress surfaced online on Wednesday and it details Seo’s mistreatment of employees in her agency, Gold Medalist.

“As a staff member going around in the same car with her for several years, verbal abuse was nothing. She smoked in the car, so I suffered from secondhand smoke. Also, she made me buy cigarettes and would scold me for a small mistake while blowing smoke in my face,” the post read.
The actress was also accused of checking the employee’s phone to ensure they did not record her behaviour, making threats and even being abusive towards them.
Right now, Seo is in hot water as the bullying scandal has led to her being dropped from multiple advertisements like health and lifestyle brand New Origin, mask label AER and cosmetics brand Luna, among others.
