Klang Valley Will Be Entering Phase 3 Of NRP From 1 October Onwards

On 29 September, PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri announced that the Klang Valley, which includes Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya, will be entering Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) tomorrow (1 October). He mentioned that this is in accordance with Malaysia recording a decrease in infectivity rate.

As of 28 September, the country recorded an R0 of 0.88. The Malaysian government speculates that if the country's R0 stays under 1, the daily Covid-19 cases will also decline.

On the other hand, Melaka will be transitioning from Phase 2 to Phase 3 while Kedah will be moving from Phase 1 to Phase 2. That said, no states in Malaysia will be under Phase 1 of the NRP from 1 October onwards.

While the daily Covid-19 cases are decreasing, let's not forget to follow SOPs and stay safe!
