Credit: Malay Mail

Yesterday (3 October), the Minister of Health Jhairy Jamaluddin tweeted in regards to the interstate travel ban which may be lifted soon, as 86% of the adult population in the country have completed their vaccination as of Friday (1 October).

Previously, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the government will reevaluate the current SOPs for interstate travelling when the vaccination rate for the adult population in Malaysia hit 90%. In Khairy's tweet, he also mentioned "With greater mobility, there will be more gatherings. We need to take responsibility for our actions.", netizens commented on his statement and agreed that we need to learn how to adapt and live with Covid-19, staying quarantined at home is not the solution.

According to the Ministry of Health's COVIDNOW portal, 20,317,843 individuals or 86.8% of adults in the country have completed their vaccination as of 1 October.

What do you think? Will interstate travel ban be lifted as soon as we hit 90% of fully vaccinated adult population rate?
