Japanese Man Arrested For Dating 35 Women To Get RM3k Worth Of Birthday Gifts
Who doesn’t love receiving gifts? While most of us may look forward to receiving birthday presents from our closest friends and family members, a man in Japan decided to go big or go home and date 35 women all at once, just so he could receive a present from each and every one of them.
39-year-old Takashi Miyagawa was accused of scamming 35 different women for birthday cards and gifts worth up to 100,000 yen (RM3,767). How did he do it? By simply telling all his dates that he’s looking for a serious relationship and then giving each of them different dates for his birthday.

Miyagawa allegedly told a 47-year-old woman his birthday was on 22 February, a 40-year-old woman that it was in July and a 35-year-old woman that it was in April. But his real birthday is said to be on 13 November.
It took a while but the women eventually realised Miyagwa’s antics and teamed up together to expose his crimes to the police back in February. He has since been arrested for suspicion of fraud.
It was reported that Miyagawa met all these women while he was working for a marketing company selling hydrogen water shower heads and other products. One might argue that he must’ve been pretty charming to be able to woo all 35 ladies into going on a date with him.
One woman even said that he kissed her on their second date, despite her telling him that she didn’t want to do that unless he was serious about being with her in the future, to which he responds, “I’m serious. I’m going to be with you for the rest of my life.”
