Japan Launches An Esports Team Made Up Of Senior Citizens Aged Between 66 & 73

Who says gaming is only for the young, while most elderly people can barely make their way around the usage of smartphones, this professional esports team from Japan is made up of senior citizens! IT firm, S2 Co launched the esports team called Matagi Snipers which is based at Akita Prefecture.
Matagi Snipers consists of both women and men aged between 66 and 73. If you're wondering, just like their team name, they focus on playing shooting games. According to Yahoo! JP, the members have been training 3 times a week since July 2021.
The team will debut in their first livestream on either YouTube or Twitch in October. Interestingly enough, Matagi Snipers may also participate in competitions and event from April 2022. We can't wait to check out the first professional senior citizen esports team in action!
