Ismail Sabri: FMCO SOP To Be Reviewed If Daily Infections Drop Below 4,000 Cases

I know we just got hit with an extension of the FMCO till 28 June, but the government just announced that they may review or relax the full lockdown SOPs if the Covid-19 daily infections manage to drop below 4,000 cases. So don’t lose hope! Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that by releasing a targeted figure, it may help reduce the daily infectivity rate nationwide.

“I have been informed by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba and its director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah that when the cases are down to 4,000, we will review the MCO. It does not mean we will end the MCO but may review the SOPs to determine which ones can be relaxed a bit,” he added.

Ismail Sabri mentioned that the government’s main focus is to get at least 60% of our Malaysian population vaccinated before they can plan to end the MCO. Yesterday, it was recorded that new cases have been reduced to 5,304 yesterday (13/6) and 4,949 today (14/6), so if we keep this up, we may be able to see a reviewed SOP for FMCO.
