Interstate Travel Will Only Be Allowed For These 3 Reasons Starting Now
Those who are planning to travel interstate due to work commitments or personal reasons may want to take note on this news because the restrictions imposed on interstate travel in Malaysia has just gotten much tighter.
If you are required to travel interstate for work, medical, or educational purposes, you will only be allowed to do so from Monday to Thursday.
There are only three acceptable reasons that will allow any individual to travel interstate from Friday to Sunday, which are emergency cases, deaths, and long distance married couples. Even then, the interstate travel application will only be approved if the emergency cases and deaths involve immediate family members like parents, siblings and children.
Interstate travels for social events like weddings and kenduris will be strictly prohibited until after Hari Raya.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said these measures are put in place to curb with the spread of the pandemic, especially after the spike in the number of new Covid-19 cases over the past few days.
