Most of us are already planning future travel plans and activities, and it might not even be far in the future anymore! The government has decided that interstate activities and tourism will soon be allowed once 90% of adults in Malaysia are vaccinated!
“Allowing the opening of tourism centres, islands, or tourism areas together with interstate activities being allowed, with the condition that 90 per cent of adult vaccination rate is achieved, based on data and analysis done by the Health Ministry,” PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced.
He also announced that tourism centres, tourism premises, or tourism products like zoos, farms, aquariums, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing tourism, and forest parks will be allowed to operate in all phases of the NRP from 1 October onwards. But of course, all operators and visitors need to be fully vaccinated.
On top of that, spa businesses, wellness centres, and health massages will also be able to reopen from 1 October onwards, with the same requirement for operators and visitors to have completed their vaccination.
