IKEA Malaysia Is Recalling These Products, You Can Return Them To Get A Full Refund
Heads up Malaysians! If you currently own any plates, bowls or mugs from IKEA, then this article is for you. Take note because IKEA has just posted an announcement on their official Facebook page to recall some of the tableware from the HEROISK or TALRIKA series due to safety reasons.
The Facebook post on May 18 stated that the HEROISK or TALRIKA plates, bowls and mugs have been reported to “break and potentially cause burns due to hot content.” Therefore, for safety and precautionary measures, IKEA is recalling all of these products immediately.

However, IKEA Malaysia assured that no known incidents have been reported in Malaysia. Furthermore, all their products are “tested and comply with applicable standards and legislation”, so this move is simply to prevent any potential accidents from happening.
Simply return any of these products at the Exchanges & Returns counter at any IKEA store and you’ll be able to get a full refund. And don’t worry if you have lost your receipt because you won’t need to show a proof of purchase either.

And if you’re concerned about travelling to IKEA with the MCO in place, IKEA Malaysia also stated in their comments that there won’t be a deadline for the returns, but just make sure you stop using them immediately.
The company also apologised for any inconveniences caused by this recall. If you have any further questions, do contact the IKEA Customer Contact Centre at 03-7952 7575.
