Here’s How Senior Citizens In Klang Valley Can Get Free Transport To Their Vaccination Appoint
If you happen to know a senior citizen who is unable to travel to their vaccination appointments due to transportation problems, don’t worry because some politicians in the Klang Valley have launched their own initiatives to help these communities get vaccinated.
Member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Kampung Tunku, Lim Yi Wei has collaborated with car rental company GoCar Malaysia to introduce GoVax, a service to ferry senior citizens and special needs individuals in the Petaling District to the vaccination centres for free!
This would benefit the elderly who need to get to their vaccination appointments in Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, Hospital Shah Alam, IDCC Shah Alam, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), and Klinik Rakan Medik.
The initiative kickstarts today on 31 May, but do note that you should book your ride 3 days in advance because the amount of drivers are limited!
I'm excited to Collab with @GoCarMY to launch #GoVax to ferry senior citizens & OKUs to vaccination centres for FREE. On the other hand, senior citizens in Subang Jaya will also get to enjoy free transportation services to the vaccination centres, thanks to an initiative by the Rukun Tetangga of USJ2 and Pusat Khidmat ADUN Subang Jaya.
This service also applies to the elderly folks who require a companion to the vaccination centres. If you happen to know someone who could use this service, do contact the person in charge at 012-273 1336!

Apart from offering free transportation services and freebies for vaccinated individuals, what other initiatives would you like to see to encourage Malaysians to get vaccinated?
