Read this article of the basics that you need to know about COVID-19 tests in Malaysia.
How it is done
A swab test, it is an easy, effective and fast way to diagnose if you have an active virus infection. Samples will be taken from your nose and throat using a swab (it looks like a CSI’s cotton-buds looking prop) and put in a sterile container and sent to a lab for testing.
Will it hurt
It is not as bad as you think. Most people that have undergone the test describes the process to be slightly unpleasant and uncomfortable. Besides, the more you are relaxed, the less intrusive you would feel. After all, it will only last about 5 seconds.
