Its that time of the year again people, Ramadhan season is upon us and our fellow brothers and sisters will be fasting starting 13 April to 12 May. With the arrival of Ramadhan, many restaurants are catering to the occasion by offering up some tantalizing seasonal delights.

So if you are unsure as to where you should go for your ‘buka puasa’, well worry no more as we got you covered with our intricate list of the BEST buffets to fill your tummies up!

1. Curate @ Four Seasons KL

If you’re in the mood for something rustic and traditional, allow celebrity chef Dato’ Fazley Yaakob to transport your taste buds to where it all began with long-forgotten dishes inspired by the memories of his grandmother’s cooking. When you dine with Curate this Ramadhan, expect some nostalgic items such as ‘puyuh salai kulit mangga muda bakar’ and ‘nasi tumpang ayam bakar pasu’.

Prices range from RM189 – RM228 per adult and RM94.50 – RM109 per child

2. Westin Kuala Lumpur

In light of the fasting season, The Westin Kuala Lumpur presents you with their Indahnya Ramadhan spread. Now not only will your pallets be pleasured with their exquisite spread, your eyes will be too as they have live cooking stations along with their ‘Salad on Sampan’ specialty that is visually a masterpiece. For you durian lovers, this is definitely the place you want to ‘buka puasa’ as they have over 15 durian desserts to satisfy your cravings!

Prices are RM188 per adult and RM94 per child but they are also offering an early bird discount where if you book your slot for the buffet anytime before 31 March, the price will be RM128 per adult.

3. Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur

If you are inclined to ‘buka puasa’ at home but you still want a luxurious spread before you and your family, then Le Méridien is literally the perfect choice for you as they not only offer takeaway, but delivery as well. Their Santapan Muhibah 2.0 buffet is nothing short of brilliant with an array of Malay appetisers, hearty soups, noodles, porridge, traditional Malay dishes with a twist, and à la minute fried dishes. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy then there is always their signature Berbiri Panggang.

Prices range from RM178 per adult and RM89 per child. There is also an early bird offer if you book before 31 March which let’s you feast on their buffet for only RM128 per adult and RM64 per child

4. ATAS Modern Malaysian Eatery @ The RuMa Hotel & Residences

For a real kampung style feast, you need to head on up to ATAS Modern Malaysia Eatery. Don’t let the name fool you though as they have some really traditional items specially for this Ramadhan season. When dining with them, you will get to devour your favorite classics such as Siakap Asam Gerang, Daging Gulai Kawah and many other long-forgotten dishes. While you are dining there, make sure to try out their Percik Marinated Leg of Lamb accompanied by their vast selections of lemang.

The price is RM180 per person regardless of age, and there is a early bird discount that gives you 30% off if you book before 15 April.

5. Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown

If you are bored of the usual Malay cuisine, perhaps Four Points by Sheraton can tempt you. Their Bazar Selera which was curated by Chef Gerald Chong will transport your taste buds onto the Silk Road with their oriental feast. They have fresh hand-pulled noodles served in a rich and hearty bone broth along with slices of beef. Don’t sleep on their signature Cumin Slow-Roasted Whole Lamb as that is their claim to fame right there!

Prices are RM158 per person regardless of age and there is also an early bird promotion if you book before 2 April bringing the cost down to RM118 per person.

6. Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral

For something a little more modern and contemporary, might I suggest Aloft’s Warisan Melayu? They promise to serve up some absolutely scrumptious fares that will not only leave you in an culinary orgasm, but begging for more. Make sure to try their Kambing Bakar, Sup Periuk, Bubur Lambur, Pajeri Nanas. That said, you must ensure that you don’t leave without sampling their satay and rojak too!

Prices are at RM148 per person.

7. Trace Restaurant & Bar @ Element Kuala Lumpur

Want to try something from the East of Malaysia this Ramadhan season? Well let Chef Man’s kampung Desa Vibes satisfy your cravings with their mouth-watering Nasi Dagang. Their buffet spread also features a myriad of East Malaysian delicasies such as Daging Salai Madu and Rendang Daging Minang among others.

Prices are RM128 per adult and RM64 per child. Thankfully, they also have an early bird offer if you book your slot before 11 April which brings the price down to RM88 per adult and no changes for kids.
