Harry and Meghan Set To ‘Tell-All’ with Oprah Winfrey

Following their surprise Instagram announcement stating that they would detach themselves from the British Royal family last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has recently announced that they will not resume their roles in the royal family.

Since their announcement, they have also decided to join Oprah Winfrey in a 90-minute ‘tell-all’ interview which will air on CBS, 7 March. According to some media reports, Oprah will try to get insight on certain topics during the interview such as marriage, parenthood, their life under intense public pressure and the decision to quit royal working life.

Buckingham palace issued an official statement last week regarding the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the royal family, stating “Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of the Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service. The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.”

They went on to add, “While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family.”

It would seem that our beloved Royal Couple will no longer be ‘Royal’, but ultimately I do believe that their decision will be beneficial for their relationship as well as their child. Don’t feel too bad for them however, as the couple has secured a multi-year Netflix deal valued at US$150 million along with a Spotify deal worth US$35 million.
