According to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, travellers entering Malaysia will need to show proof that they are fully vaccinated and have recently contracted Covid-19 11 to 60 days before arriving in the country to skip quarantine. This latest SOP will come into effect from 13 January onwards.

The proofs will have to either be printed or digital laboratory reports that they were infected within the said period. Khairy also added that those who were hospitalised for Covid-19 will need to present a Fit to Travel letter from the health facility where they have received treatment from.

However, do note that regardless of your vaccination status or Covid-19 history, travellers must be screened for the virus using the RT-PCR test. Meanwhile, those who have not completed their vaccination, will need to undergo mandatory quarantine for 7 days at designated centres.
