Fully Vaccinated Individuals May Be Allowed To Interstate Travel And Abroad

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the decision to allow fully vaccinated individuals to interstate travel and abroad will be made at the National Security Council meeting soon. This move is to encourage netizens to get vaccinated as there are many that are still not registered to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

Other than that, the government also started negotiations with several other countries to allow travelling overseas for Malaysians who are fully vaccinated and received their certificates. Previously, there were news about the Malaysian government having discussions with Singapore to allow overseas travelling between the 2 countries.

There is a total of 215,395 individuals already vaccinated as of yesterday for the first phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme. The second phase of vaccinations are pulled forward to 17 April instead of the previously mentioned 19 April, hoping to vaccinate a total of 9.4 million individuals including elderly, chronic patients, people with disabilities, and individuals with comorbidities.
