Updated: Oct 6, 2021
As fully vaccinated individuals in Phase 1 states can now participate in outdoor activities and dine-in, people are rushing to get themselves inoculated ASAP. Today, Malaysia just received 200,000 doses of CanSino Covid-19 vaccine in the morning. This is the first delivery out of 3.5 million doses ordered from CanSino Biologics.
The delivery flown in by MAS Kargo via flight MH361 from Beijing arrived 7.50 this morning, witnessed by Mosti chief secretary, Datuk Siti Hamisah Tapsir and Ministry of Health chief secretary, Datuk Mohd Shafiq Abdullah. Just like Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine, CanSino is also a single-dose Covid-19 vaccine that have received approval from the Drug Control Authority.
“This supply will further enhance the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK), especially in areas with low accessibility, helping Malaysia to achieve its herd immunity target as outlined by the National Recovery Plan according to the set timeline,” said Mosti.
If you’re considering on getting the CanSino vaccine, do note that recipients would only be recognised as fully vaccinated 28 day after their single-dose jabs. Are you fully vaccinated yet?
