Dune, Matrix 4…Wait, HOW Many Movies Are Coming Out in 2021?

You read that right! All 17 upcoming movies from Warner Bros for 2021 will be available for 1 month on HBO Max before getting removed and released in theatres throughout the year.

Major titles you can expect include “Godzilla vs. Kong”, “The Suicide Squad” (a reboot with the same name), “Dune” and “Matrix 4”. (DUNE!)

The plan was announced last week by WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar who mentioned in a blog that this distribution plan is the best direction for Warner Bros in the next 12 months.

Kilar also added, “More importantly, we are planning to bring consumers 17 remarkable movies throughout the year, giving them the choice and the power to decide how they want to enjoy these films. Our content is extremely valuable, unless it’s sitting on a shelf not being seen by anyone. We believe this approach serves our fans, supports exhibitors and filmmakers, and enhances the HBO Max experience, creating value for all.” Talk about giving the people what they want!

Other Warner Bros films lined up for 2021 include “The Little Things,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Tom & Jerry,” “Mortal Kombat,” “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,” the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical “In the Heights,” “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” “Reminiscence,” “Malignant,” “The Many Saints of Newark,” Will Smith’s “King Richard” and “Cry Macho.”

Let’s hear it for Warner Bros & HBO Max! Which movie are you guys most excited for? Tell us below.
