"Supported by Sabah Tourism Board and Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta), the virtual edition of Miss World Malaysia 2021 Grand Coronation Night was successfully held at Hyperlive.tv on 16 October. Dr. Lavanya Sivaji will be representing Malaysia in the prestigious Miss World 2021 Final held in Puerto Rico this December."
Based on a report by Varnam, Dr. Lavanya is more commonly known as the founder of 4Them which is a charity project that advocates on nutrition and health issues within the Orang Asli community in Malaysia.
According to the post on Facebook, there were 39 finalists this year which includes doctors, lawyers, professionals, beauty queens, performing artistes, and influencers. However, 2 participants had to drop out due to work.
The finalists competed in various events to showcase their talents, public speaking skills, and present social causes they wish to champion and advocate for their Beauty With A Purpose mission. Despite this year's events being held virtually with participants streaming via their smartphones from their own homes, there was still active audience interaction and engagement throughout the contest.
Congratulations Dr. Lavanya Sivaji, and good luck in Puerto Rico!
