Donate Your Old Devices To Digi To Help Out B40 Students

If you have used and old devices just lying around your house without a purpose, why not donate them to Digi! The telecom company announced a #MYBaikHati campaign to collect devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops to help out students from the B40 community. This allows the less fortunate students access to digital learning.

Unfortunately, because of this pandemic, it is made more aware that students will need access to internet access and proper digital tools to be able to continue studies online. The campaign kickstarted its pilot phase in the Klang Valley but will be expanding throughout the country soon. While old and used devices may be redundant to most, Digi plans to refurbish and distribute them to eligible B40 students at Digi’s Pusat Internet Komuniti (PIK).

Digi is accepting devices like smartphones, 4G-enabled tablets, Chromebooks with Windows 8 and above, and laptops along with the chargers. The devices must be in working condition and show no major damage. However, the devices that do not meet the requirements will be “disposed responsibly”.

If you’re interested in donating your devices, you can either register to donate on the #MyBaikHati campaign page or drop them off at Digi’s designated collection centres which is the Digi Store Klang or Digi Store Cheras.

Let’s do our part and help out those in need!
