Dogecoin, The Shiba Inu-Themed Digital Coin
Dogecoin was initially just a joke in 2013 that originated from the popular meme Doge which is a derpy Shiba Inu face. If you’re following Elon Musk on Twitter then you’ve already seen this coming, the digital coin rose to an all-time high on Sunday! Just a week after crashing to 2.5 cents, Reddit did its thing and made Dogecoin surpass 8 cents for the very first time!
According to CoinMarketCap, it rose 53% in the last 24 hours to 8.2 cents on Sunday evening, surpassing its most recent record of 7.8 cents in late January. This played out a little too well, allowing Dogecoin to now be the 8th biggest cryptocurrency in the world with a market value of US$10 billion! Elon Musk has then posted a series of Doge related tweets to promote Dogecoin, let’s take a look at a couple of them:
