Dine-In Proposal Currently In Talks
A dine-in proposal was recently submitted and being reviewed by the National Security Council. A number of SOPs were accompanied by the proposal submitted by the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry during the weekend. Credible sources mentioned that this proposal was brought to the table following pleas by restaurants and food outlet owners.
The decision has yet to be announced as they are tight-lipped about the timeline and what the proposed SOP requirements are. Dine-in has been prohibited since 13 January, whereby restaurants are only allowed to open for takeaways and deliveries, this caused major loss for the F&B industry.
Do you think we will be able to dine-in at our local and favourite restaurants soon?
