‘Catto’ Saves a Man’s Life and is Appointed Police Chief For a Day

We are all familiar with how cats can be quite the a**holes at times but we still love them regardless as every now and then, or more accurately, once in a blue moon, our favorite feline friends will do something that is quite commendable such as killing that nasty cockroach that is bothering you while you’re take a dump or even clean your house from rodents.

For this one cat however, disposing of rats and creepy crawlies was not enough. Meet Koko-chan. This unassuming cat went above and beyond the call of duty by saving an elderly man who had fallen into an aqueduct in Toyama City, Japan.

In honor of the Koko-chan’s heroic actions, it was appointed as police chief for a day! There was even a ceremony to commemorate Koko chan’s actions. During said ceremony, the cat was handed a certificate that officiates its one-day police role. It even got to sign the certificate of recognition during the event. How cute is its paw print signature?

According to Pledge Times, Koko spent the day as head of the department of traffic safety and attended a presentation about traffic safety rules with a group of elementary school students.

That said, it clearly seems as thought Koko-chan was uninterested in the ceremony… I mean just look at his face. It clearly says “enough of these shenanigans hooman”.
