While #Merky Books have previously published books written by Stormzy and other authors, the imprint will soon be releasing its first children’s book, titled ‘Superheroes: Inspiring Stories of Secret Strength’ which features 50 notable figures who are regarded as real-life superheroes.

Written by Sophia Thakur, the comic style book is illustrated by 21-year-old student Denzell Dankwah. The title of the book is also a nod to Stormzy’s previous single ‘Superheroes’ in which its music video was dedicated to the memory of the late ‘Black Panther’ actor Chadwick Boseman.

‘Superheroes: Inspiring Stories of Secret Strength’ is due to be published on September 16, where 8% of proceeds will go to the MC’s #Merky Foundation, a charity that aims to tackle racial inequality and injustice.
