Bomb Squad Showed Up At UK Hospital After Man Arrived With Artillery Shell Up His Bum
A couple of days ago, a bomb squad showed up at a UK hospital all because a man was admitted into the emergency department for having an artillery shall stuck up his bum. Apparently, the unnamed man "slipped and fell" on the 17cm by 6cm armour piercing projectile taken from his private arsenal of military collectables.
According to news sites, the shell was identified as a World War II 57mm shell that was typically fired from 6-pounder anti-tank guns. A source said that the patient found the shell while he was clearing out his things, “He said he put it on the floor then he slipped and fell on it — and it went up his a**e. He was in a considerable amount of pain. I think he collected military memorabilia.”
Thankfully, the patient had since been discharged from the hospital with no serious injuries, he is expected to make full recovery. Police mentioned that the explosive was removed prior to their arrival at the hospital after contacting the Army's Explosive Ordnance.
