Apple Will Introduce A New Warning Notification In The Upcoming iOS 14.4 With Aftermarket Cameras
We all know how stressful it is when you drop your iPhone and the camera happens to have a dent. Anxiety kicks in to repair because we won’t know if the repair shop will guarantee a genuine iPhone part. The new iOS 14.4 will be featuring a new warning notification in the upcoming iOS14.4 update, whereby a notification will appear whether or not your camera has been replaced with a non-genuine, aftermarket component.
A warning message will appear stating, “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple camera,” It will be viewable in Settings > General > About and may also appear as a notification on the lock screen for a short period.
Not only will the warning be for iPhone cameras but also non-genuine iPhone batteries as well. However, this does not impact the use of the device beyond disabling a battery health feature that displays the battery’s maximum capacity.
