Apple Releases New Apps To Help Teachers Get Creative

Apple has introduced several updates that are geared towards helping the dedicated teachers out there to expand their creativity and enhance their work.

One of these updates is a new self-paced professional learning offering called Apple Teacher Portfolio that strives to make lesson planning easier for educators, with the use of Apple technology. This also acts as a new recognition badge that educators can earn through Apple Teacher Learning Center, the self-paced professional learning platform.

Educators can also use the Everyone Can Create curriculum to help them create animated GIFs, short films or podcasts using features from apps like Keynote, GarageBand, and iMovie, to provide engaging everyday lessons for students.

The updates for apps like Schoolwork and Classroom will enable educators to gain more insight into student activity and their assignment progress, as well as connect remote students to virtual classroom learning.

“The new Apple Teacher Portfolio helps build educators’ confidence in reimagining their lessons and recognises them for the great work they do every day. After this unprecedented year, we want to continue to inspire every educator as much as they inspire us,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations and Product Marketing for Enterprise and Education for over 40 years.
