Apple Is Releasing Bright Coloured iMacs With The M1 Chip

We’ve reported a couple of months ago that Apple was planning to release 5 new colours for their new iMac with the M1 chipset, but it looks like they are not proceeding with those colours. Instead, Apple will be releasing a redesigned iMac with a slimmer display, an Apple Silicon chip, and a case with bright and bold colours, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver.

It was reported by The Verge that the new iMac will have a 24-inch, 4.5k display, and 11.3 million pixels with narrower border design around the top and sides. The new display also features True Tone technology, which will automatically adjust the color temperature as the environment changes for a more natural viewing experience. On top of that, iMac’s camera and mics will be having a much-needed update, so users can look and sound better on video calls. It now has a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and a larger sensor as the new update.

“M1 is a gigantic leap forward for the Mac, and today we’re excited to introduce the all-new iMac, the first Mac designed around the breakthrough M1 chip,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “With its striking design in seven stunning colors, its immersive 4.5K Retina display, the best camera, mics, and speakers ever in a Mac, and Touch ID, combined with the amazing performance of M1 and the power of macOS Big Sur, the new iMac takes everything people love about iMac to an entirely new level.”

Other than that, the new iMac is said to be 11.5mm thin, which will stay quieter and cooler than previous models because of the M1 chip. Apple added that the new model will have 2 small fans replacing the “bulky thermal system” of the previous models. Most importantly, there will still be a headphone jack on the new iMac!
