A Gentle K-beauty Skincare Routine For Sensitive Skin

Sensitivity is never fun but here are some kind-to-skin products for happy, hydrated and  sensitive-free skin! Skin care is all about understanding your skin type and what it needs. Our skin is always changing due to various factors (like, age or climate) and sometimes your skin type can change completely.

The first step is cleansing. If you wear makeup or sunscreen it is recommended to double-cleanse. Double-cleansing means you  start with a balm or an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based cleanser.

Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm (Oil-based cleanser)

This light, buttery balm beautifully melts into an oil for the most gentlecleanse  you’ll possibly ever experience. Unlike many other cleansing balms on the market, this one doesn’t make your vision blurry after cleansing and leaves your skin feeling like an absolute dream.

Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser (Water-based cleanser)

Krave Beauty’s infamous Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser is a gel formulation that lathers up to give your skin a good cleanse without stripping your skin of its natural oils.

The next step is moisturizing but it’s also where you can get a little more fun and adventurous with skincare. This is where you would use serums, toners and some essence to up the ante.

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Gel Cream (Moisturizer)

Dr Jart’s Cicapair collection is best for soothing red, inflamed and irritated skin. Cicapair is also known as tiger grass and it is said that Asian tigers would roll around in centella asiatica (Cicapair’s star ingredient) to heal their battle wounds.

Finally, the last steps are spot treatments to protect your skin.

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patches (Spot treatments)

Hydrocolloid patches are a great option for those who can’t use harsh spot treatments. You can wear it in the day and apply makeup over top or use it to prevent your hands from picking at them!

Purito Comfy Water Sun Block SPF 50+ PA++++  (Sunscreen)

Physical sunscreens are recommended for people who have sensitive skin and contain ingredients such as titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. This Purito sunscreen is super lightweight and doesn’t feel sticky – great for our crazy Malaysian weather.
