Remember the viral video of Olympic athletes testing out the "anti-sex" carboard beds at the Olympic village? Well, Japan will be reusing the beds at a temporary medical facility for Covid-19 patients.

“Those beds were for Olympians and they are high quality,” Hirofumi Yoshimura, the government of Osaka said. Around 800 cardboard beds will be transferred to a temporary Covid-19 facility that will be set up by the end of September.

According to the creator of the beds, Airweave Inc., the beds are designed to accommodate a person's weight of up to 200 kilograms. Previously, Airweave mattresses have been used in hospitals, clinics, and elderly homes in Japan.
