100,000 AstraZeneca Recipients Need To Redownload Digital Certificates Due To Technical Errors
If you were a recipient of the AstraZeneca vaccine under the batch number ABX6083, then you are urged to redownload the digital certificate due to technical errors. Nearly 100,000 AZ receivers are affected, the errors are related to vaccine manufacturer data on the MySejahtera digital certificate.
According to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, data overlapped between vaccine shipments that use the Global Trade International Number (GTIN) and those listed in the Vaccine Management System (VMS) caused some errors. “Vaccine information between the digital vaccination certificate and lot release certificates by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) are mismatched.”
However, not all AZ recipients are effected by the errors. Those affected may redownload the digital certificates after 30 October as the MOH is currently updating the information for the date involved.
Don't worry, Khairy confirmed that the updated data will be auto synchronised for users through the MySejahtera app. Do check on your MySejahtera to find out if you were a recipient of the vaccine under the said batch.
